ConnectNIT is a National Level Collegiate Club with its headquarters at the National Institute of Technology, Trichy. It was created in the year 2005 by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) with the aim of providing a common platform to all the National Institutes of Technology(NITs) to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and information. It has played a major role in improving information exchange uniting geographically separated NITs across the nation.

ConnectNIT conducts annually their main event called ZENITH – An Inter-NIT quiz competition. ZENITH started in 2011 and after that has grown immensely i n participation from various NITs.

CaptureNIT– An Inter NIT photography is one of its kind ! In its very first edition is getting overwhelming response from various NITs . The main aim is to give a chance to people to appreciate the beauty of NITs !
